What Are Social-Emotional Communication Groups

Our Social-Emotional Communication Groups are small, supportive group sessions co-led by a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and an Occupational Therapist (OT).


These groups are designed for children who:

  • Struggle with emotional regulation
  • Have difficulty expressing feelings 
  • Find it hard to connect with peers
  • Need support with social language

Our Social-Emotional Communication Groups are small, supportive group sessions co-led by a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and an Occupational Therapist (OT).


These groups are designed for children who:

  • Struggle with emotional regulation
  • Have difficulty expressing feelings 
  • Find it hard to connect with peers
  • Need support with social language and problem-solving
     

By combining speech therapy and occupational therapy, children learn how to understand emotions, regulate their bodies, and communicate effectively—all at the same time.
